Are the TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattresses a 2-stage design?
Yes! Both of the TEMPUR-Dream mattresses are designed with a dual firmness system: our premium high-density core creates a firmer side for infants as recommended by pediatricians, and our TEMPUR-Response Memory Foam delivers personalized comfort and support for toddlers.
When should I flip my baby’s mattress from the infant side to the toddler side?
Pediatricians as well as the NICHD Safe to Sleep® Campaign recommend placing babies on their backs to sleep, especially during the first 12 months. Most families flip their mattresses when their babies start to cuddle up on their sides and sleep, between 18 and 24 months or when you feel your child is developmentally ready.
Will either the TEMPUR-Dream 2-stage or the TEMPUR-Dream Cooling & Breathable 2-Stage mattresses fit my baby's crib and toddler bed?
Yes! Both the TEMPUR-Dream 2-Stage and the TEMPUR-Dream Cooling & Breathable 2-Stage mattresses will safely fit all standard size cribs and toddler beds so you can use them for years.
What are the dimensions of the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattresses?
Tempur-Pedic crib mattresses are standard full-size crib mattresses measuring 52 x 28 inches for a snug fit in any USA standard size crib and toddler bed.
I just received my Tempur-Pedic® TEMPUR-Dream™ Baby Crib Mattress. Which side should I use first?
There is a tag on the mattress that points to the firmer infant side. You may zip either side of the cover to use for breathability and protection. The cooling crib mattress has a wavy pattern on the cooler side as an option for baby’s who sleep hot.
How do I clean my zip cover?
Unzip the cover to remove it. For best results, hand wash and line dry. The cover is machine washable. Wash on gentle cycle in cold water. Do not bleach. Do not use bedding settings on newer washing machines that use hot water. Use cold water setting on the gentle cycle only. Do not wash with other laundry that may be abrasive. After washing, we recommend you squeeze out excess water by hand. The waterproof backing will also be damp as it is designed to be a waterproof barrier. Line dry for best results. Air dry or tumble dry low when needed. Do not use medium or high heat settings in a dryer, and do not let the mattress cover rest on a hot dryer drum. Do not iron or dry clean. There are washable care tags sewn into your Tempur-Pedic crib mattress cover.

Use the firmer side for newborns or even the breathable airflow tested TEMPUR side if desired. Both sides are firmness tested to reduce the risk of suffocation and are safe for babies!

Do I need a crib mattress pad?
Infant and toddlers can be messy so for the convenience of cleaning, we recommend using a fitted crib mattress pad that is waterproof. This will help keep the beauty and freshness of your crib mattress longer. If the crib mattress gets dirty, it’s washable so it is still convenient for cleaning should you decide not to use a crib pad.

What certifications do Tempur-Pedic crib mattresses offer?

Are the TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattresses GREENGUARD GOLD Certified?
Yes, absolutely. The Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattresses have been independently tested and certified by UL to pass the GREENGUARD GOLD Standard for a healthier sleeping environment for your baby. The Gold Standard is a premium test used for baby and children’s products, so it is stricter than any other GREENGUARD standard. The entire crib mattress is tested for chemical emissions inclduing VOCs and harsh chemicals. We want to help ensure our product offers cleaner air for babies to breathe and helps keep a healthier indoor environment.
Are the TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattresses CertiPUR-US Certified?
Yes. Both of the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattresses only uses American-Made foam that are CertiPUR-US Certified. This means the layers inside have been tested for quality, durability, and harsh chemicals and VOCs. There are not ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, mercury, or lead. Baby will not be exposed to potentially harmful chemicals on a Tempur-Pedic baby crib mattress.
Does my TEMPUR-Dream Baby Crib Mattress meet the ASTM Crib Mattress Standards?
Yes. Tempur-Pedic crib mattresses pass all ASTM crib mattress safety standards. Your baby’s crib mattress will fit snugly inside every crib, offer firmness for better breathability and safety and offers durability and quality that can last a lifetime.
